Computer-Guided Dental Implants
Computer-guided dental implants in Ajax are placed using a computer-generated program, ensuring your implant surgery is precise and ultimately more successful.
About Dental Implants
Dental implants are artificial tooth roots that provide a permanent base for fixed or removable replacement teeth. They offer a durable, natural-looking solution for missing teeth.
The Problem
Traditionally, Dentists adopt a ‘freehand’ approach when placing dental implants – meaning to say that during surgery they virtually go in ‘blind’. This can sometimes lead to unfavourable outcomes.
The Problem
Teeth have head (Crown) and legs (Root). Dental implants are used to replace the ‘legs’ of a missing tooth. They are titanium screws that are placed into the jawbone which ‘harden’ with time, providing a platform to replace the ‘head’ portion with a dental crown.

Our Solution
ALL* implants placed in our clinic are 100% Computer-Guided, we leverage on:
*Whenever possible
- 3D X-Rays
3D X-rays which allow us to obtain a 3D image of your jaws and their vital structures. A custom-made implant guide is designed and 3D printed in-house.
- 3D Mouth Scanning
A special camera forms a 3D ‘Map’ of the mouth.
- 3D Printing
The above 2 sets of information are then combined, and fed into implant planning software. A custom-made implant guide is 3D printed in-house. The implant is placed through this guide, and in the exact position we have planned beforehand.
